Officials & police across northeast Wisconsin attend, provide words during funeral of Milwaukee officer killed on duty

(WFRV) – A few weeks after Officer Kendall Corder was killed while on duty, the Milwaukee Police Department held a funeral for their fallen brother, who was shot unexpectedly during a weapons call on June 26.

Officer Corder, along with another officer, responded at 9:22 p.m. to North 25th Street and West Garfield Avenue on reports of somebody with a weapon

While on the way, both officers were unexpectedly shot in an alley in the 2200 block of North 24th Place, with one officer battling non-fatal injuries. Officer Corder was in critical condition.

Officer Corder died from fatal gunshot wounds on June 29, and a man was officially charged for alleged involvement in the shooting, which also injured another police officer…
