A friend had a daughter visiting, and the friend told us about a great visit the family had to “a museum” in the City Center. I called later to find out the museum’s proper name, It was ARTE MUSEUM LAS VEGAS.
ARTE MUSEUM had been alive and well in Las Vegas since November of 2023, but this reporter had never visited. I “fixed” that “never” last Wednesday. I followed directions and paid a $40 admission fee (I had a discount because I am a senior and a local. I also didn’t pay an extra fee for a $5 tea refreshment at the end of the tour.) I parked at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas which gives locals free parking for up to three hours.
The Las Vegas museum is one of several owned by the Korean design and technology company “d’strict.” According to posters on the wall, d’strict is responsible for designing and producing similar museums in Korea and even in Dubai.
Guests are directed down long dark hallways to rooms where huge digital displays are in front or surrounding and even on the floor. Each room is rather overwhelming. I took pictures, but the pictures in no way do justice to the experience. One of the rooms even lets guests (particularly children) draw pictures that somehow magically appear as part of the animals on the walls…
