Bookworms enjoy fun finds at popular local book sale

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The beloved Friends of the Library of Hawaiʻi book sale opened its doors to bookworms on July 12, with over 125,000 books to peruse, the organization said.

The sale is at Kakaʻako Makai this time, at the old Re-Use Hawaiʻi warehouse on Keawe Street.

“Usually [the sale] is in June, but now it’s in July,” said Nainoa Maui, the executive director of the Friends of the Library of Hawaiʻi. “It’s a little warm here in the warehouse. So be prepared for that, but there’s a breeze coming through and a lot of happy shoppers.”
