2025 Cherry Festival Parade honors volunteer firefighters

The North East Firemen’s Cherry Festival Parade drew thousands of attendees this weekend, celebrating the community’s volunteer firefighters and serving as a major fundraiser.

The parade, a longstanding tradition in North East, is organized by the Fuller Hose Company and Crescent Hose Company. It honors the selfless service of volunteer firefighters and raises funds for essential equipment.

“It’s a great honor to be the grand marshal of this parade,” said Tom Brown, the parade grand marshal. “This is our main fundraiser. The equipment you see here is funded by our cherry festival.”
