Battle Creek PD: Passenger, 18, killed in reckless driving crash

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say an 18-year-old passenger is dead and a 17-year-old passenger is seriously injured after a driver crashed while performing “reckless maneuvers” at a Battle Creek park early Monday morning.

It happened around 1:10 a.m. on Irving Park Drive near Parkway Drive, according to the Battle Creek Police Department.

Police say when they arrived on scene, they found a car that had rolled over and two injured passengers, one of whom was unresponsive. The passengers — described as an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl from Battle Creek — were taken to the hospital…
