TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An active weather pattern is setting up over the next three days with an abundance of tropical moisture lingering over the state. This will lead to elevated rain chances and strong storms possible at times.
While it won’t rain all day, one or two rounds of heavy rain are possible Monday. Temperatures will warm into the upper 80s with a few spots hitting 90 degrees. It will be quite muggy with excessive moisture in place.
Rain chances stay elevated Tuesday and Wednesday with more scattered storms around at times both days.
With three to five inches of rain possible through the end of the week, localized flooding is possible. A slight risk of flooding is in effect each day as these heavy downpours move through.
This tropical moisture will begin to pull into the Gulf by the end of the week and could organize into an area of low pressure. The National Hurricane Center is highlighting this area with a low chance of tropical development as it pulls away from the Tampa Bay area.
