Financial assistance is available once again for military veterans who make their home in San Patricio County, according to the San Patricio County Veteran Services office.
Through Aug. 31, qualified military veterans can apply for assistance through the Fund For Veterans Assistance Grant. The grant, supplied by the Texas Veterans Commission through, has been open to qualified veterans in the county since July 1 and the grant period runs through August 2026.
According to the county, veterans must live in San Patricio County and have a valid state-issued ID/Driver’s License or Military ID. They must also have received an honorable discharge, general under honorable conditions, or Uncharacterized discharge to qualify…
