Lowe’s Home Improvement to Join $400M Texas Heritage Marketplace in Katy

One of America’s most recognizable home improvement chains is officially putting down roots in West Katy. Lowe’s Home Improvement will open a new location at the Texas Heritage Marketplace, a $400 million mixed-use development that is quickly becoming a cornerstone of retail and residential expansion in Waller County.

The new facility, called Lowe’s of W Katy, TX, will be located at 980 Heritage Oak Lane, just west of Ron Hoover RV & Marine of West Houston. With an estimated construction cost of $12 million, the 107,587-square-foot store is expected to begin construction in early August 2025, and is slated for completion by the end of December 2026, according to an official permit filing.

The store marks a major addition to Texas Heritage Marketplace, a 165-acre, master-planned destination developed by Houston-based NewQuest Properties. The site is already anchored by a forthcoming 149,000-square-foot Target, and the announcement of Lowe’s further solidifies the project’s appeal to major national retailers and the growing population in the Katy area…
