Collin, Navarro, and Dallas-Area Realtor Associations to Merge if Approved July 23

Three North Texas Realtor associations — including a late addition — could soon unite under one name.

The MetroTex Association of Realtors has called a special membership meeting for July 23 to vote on a proposed merger with the Collin County Area Realtors (CCAR) and the Navarro County Board of Realtors (NCBOR). If approved, the consolidation would bring together more than 20,000 members under the MetroTex name in what leaders say is a move to “strengthen our collective voice in the North Texas real estate community.”

The Navarro County Board of Realtors, which represents about 100 members across Navarro and Limestone counties, was added to the merger proposal more recently. NCBOR is currently managed by Texas REALTORS through its Multi-Board Management (MBM) Services program, which is set to end this year. That pending change prompted the NCBOR board to recommend merging with MetroTex.
