A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot multiple times in Walnut Park East, a residential neighborhood in northern St. Louis, last Friday morning, according to authorities. The incident drew immediate response from District 6 officers shortly before 10:30 a.m. after they received a call regarding a shooting at Lillian and Beacon avenues, finding the teenager wounded when they arrived, according to SLMPD.
The young victim had been riding his bike near Lillian and Genevieve avenues when he was fired upon. After the shooting, he ran to Lillian and Beacon, where responding officers located him. The youth was rushed to the hospital by EMS but subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
