Nursing teams at Boise health care provider earn prestigious designation

For the sixth time, an Idaho health system has earned a designation that less than 20 hospitals within the nation have earned.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) awarded St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center with the health care provider’s sixth Magnet designation for its nursing teams at its Boise and Meridian hospitals, urgent cares, ambulatory clinics, surgery centers, cancer centers and inpatient rehabilitation unit, the provider stated.

St. Luke’s also earned the designation in 2001, 2006, 2010, 2015 and 2020. Only one other provider in Idaho has earned the designation, which is Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene. That system earned the designation in 2006, 2011, 2017 and 2021. Hospitals are eligible for designation every four years.
