City Council considering expanding alcohol ban at parks

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Drinking alcohol, or even holding an open container, could soon be banned in more Sioux Falls parks and public spaces.

City council members are considering ordinance changes that would expand current alcohol restrictions to include possession and attempted drinking in areas like Phillips Avenue Plaza, Falls Park, and surrounding areas.

Exceptions would still apply for licensed events and designated venues…
