Kentwood pickleball court and restaurant opens

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — After over a year in the making, former Beer City Open winner Andy Anderson has cut the ribbon on Kentwood’s Dinks and Dingers Social Club, a new hub for West Michigan pickleball fans.

“I got involved with pickleball during COVID,” Anderson said. “My family and I would play at the park. About three years ago, I really started playing.”

As pickleball’s popularity continues to grow, pros compete in Beer City Open

Since then, Anderson has joined the ever-growing national pickleball community — a group of athletes ranging widely in age and athletic experience. He’s even won Grand Rapids’ annual pickleball tournament at Belknap Park.
