Overnight Single Lane Closure Scheduled on Paris Pike Tuesday, July 15

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 14, 2025) Construction for the I-75 widening project in Lexington will require a temporary overnight single lane closure on Tuesday, July 15. This lane closure will allow contractors to place beams over the RJ Corman railroad.

Beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, contractors will close one lane of Paris Pike northbound between the I-64/I-75 ramps for Exit 113. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 16. Drivers should anticipate brief delays.

Tuesday, July 15, weather permitting:

  • At 7 p.m., one lane of Paris Pike northbound will close between the I-64/I-75 exit ramps 113.
  • By 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, all lanes will reopen.
  • Delays are possible; please plan accordingly.

The work is part of the I-75 widening project. When complete in 2026, this project will reduce congestion and improve safety throughout the 2-mile corridor from the Paris Pike exit to the I-64/I-75 Southern Split. It is the second of two projects to widen I-64/I-75 to four lanes each direction in Fayette County. Find more information online at DrivingLexingtonProgress.org…
