Heat goes up as storms thin out in El Paso region — Your 9 Day Forecast

The high on Sunday was 99, but today we only reached 92 thanks to a powerful thundershower that cropped up right over the airport at around 1:45 PM. Tomorrow, the chance of t-showers goes down a bit. Here’s your exclusive 9-Hour Forecast for Tuesday:

TONIGHT:  Expect isolated showers and t-showers early in the evening.  Some storms may become strong with gusty winds.  Overnight, the t-showers will fade away as skies slowly clear.  The east winds will range from 5-15 mph excluding gusts near area storms.  The low will drop to 73.

FORECAST:  Tuesday will be partly cloudy with a high of 98.  The winds shift SW at 5-20 mph, drying us out a bit at the surface.  We’ll have only a slight chance of isolated area t-storms.  Wednesday will be partly cloudy and 98 with a chance of isolated late day t-storms.  Thursday will be partly cloudy and 97 with widely scattered late day t-showers.  The threat of heavy rainfall out of individual storms increases on Thursday.  Friday will be partly cloudy and 96 with scattered late day t-showers.  A heat wave begins to build back up starting Saturday.  Saturday will be mostly sunny and 99 with only the slightest chance of an area storm…
