KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – In the dog days of summer, expectant mothers have been warned that heat could be detrimental to their pregnancies.
It’s no surprise; summers in Missouri can be blisteringly hot. It’s nothing that Megan Eagleburger Ruble says she cannot handle on her family farm, even 35 weeks pregnant.
“I do barn chores, between my parents and I. We tackle it every day. We take care of the horses, and we got three goats. We just have all – we all pitch in. But it hasn’t slowed me down,” she said.
The big task of the day? Raking and baling hay during a heat dome. It’s great conditions for hay, but not ideal for Eagleburger Ruble…
