Man arrested after leading officers on chase from Charlotte to South Carolina

LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man has been arrested after leading officers on a chase from Charlotte to Indian Land, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Just before noon on Monday, July 14, CMPD officers were pursuing a driver who entered Lancaster County on Highway 521 in the Indian Land area.

Former York County Sheriff involved in hit-and-run, fails to report

The man almost drove to Lancaster on Hwy 521 before making a U-turn and driving north. Officials said he then turned left off Hwy 521 onto a side road and cut through a field to Hwy 5. The pursuit ended shortly after at Hwy 5 and Old Concord Road when a trooper used stop strips.

The man jumped from the car and tried to run before he was apprehended. Police said he was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved…
