Proposed affordable housing development could transform former Regency Inn site in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Nearly nine months after the City of Greensboro purchased the long-standing vacant property of the former Regency Inn, a potential developer has emerged with plans for it.

“DHIC was pretty unanimously selected as the top candidate, so we are extremely happy to have them as our developing partner moving forward,” said Cynthia Blue, Greensboro’s assistant director of Housing and Neighborhood Development.
