EBRPD Officers Arrest Suspect for Multiple Charges After Curfew Violation at MLK Regional Park Leads to Foot Chase

A curfew stop at MLK Regional Park led to a foot chase and an arrest last Saturday. The incident started when an EBRPD officer stopped an adult male for violating the park curfew. Beyond the curfew infraction, a records check showed the man was on probation and subject to search, the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department shared on their Facebook page.

As an officer’s backup arrived, the suspect fled on a bicycle, heading south on the San Francisco Bay Trail. Pursued on foot by officers, he was eventually caught. During the stop, officers found the man was carrying brass knuckles, drug paraphernalia, and other illegal items. The subject, whose name has not been released, was taken to Santa Rita Jail facing multiple charges, including resisting arrest and providing false identification to a peace officer…
