ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center is implementing a new delivery system for mail, books and other written material for inmates.
MDC will replace hand-delivered mail with scanned digital copies inmates can look at on a tablet. A third-party service will scan the mail off-site. Then, MDC staff will review the document for any violations of the inmate mail policy.
