Franklin’s New Bakery-Rotisserie Perenn Serves Elevated Comfort Food With A European Twist

A new European-inspired rotisserie, bakery and café has arrived in Franklin. Perenn, run by husband-wife duo Aubrey and Tyler O’Lasky, serves everything from fresh-based pastries to slow-roasted rotisserie chicken.

Located at 94 E. Main St., the restaurant takes up residence in the historic Boat House, which overlooks the Harpeth River. The 2,700-square-foot counter-service space, designed in collaboration with Anton Anger at Studio Meadow, evokes a cozy, relaxed atmosphere, with low ceilings, seating nooks and warm textures, featuring heavy use of wood and dark greens.

The O’Laskys founded the first Perenn location in Reno, Nevada, in 2018, after meeting at the Culinary Institute of America. They eventually settled in Reno, where they spent over a decade building a culinary empire that includes a private chef business, a catering company, two bakeries, a grocery store and a rotisserie—before recently relocating to Tennessee with their four children…
