Man’s bond bumped to $325k in smoke shop robbery and shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One of three men arrested in a Memphis shooting that led to a police chase into Southaven, Mississippi, is now being held on a $325,000 bond.

Hmaida Saleh, 26, was charged with especially aggravated robbery following the incident on July 7 at the Smile Mart on Waring Road.

According to investigators, two victims came to the Smile Mart to buy drugs. They said the victims were lured inside by the suspects, and one of the suspects pointed a gun and demanded a bag that the victims were carrying.

A fight ensued, and one of the victims was shot.

According to MPD, officers located the suspect’s vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop, and officers began a pursuit that led across state lines into Mississippi…
