Arlington to spray for West Nile virus near AT&T Stadium after positive trap test

Two mosquito traps in Arlington tested positive for West Nile virus, one of which will require targeted ground spraying, the city announced July 15.

The city will spray in a half-mile radius near AT&T Stadium starting at 9 p.m. July 15 to 5 a.m. July 16 to reduce the virus-infected mosquitoes in the area.

The trap that triggered the ground spraying contained more than 50 mosquitoes, a city official told the Arlington Report.

The two new positive trap tests bring Arlington’s total of positive tests to three since the beginning of the mosquito trapping season, according to Tarrant County Public Health…
