Salt Lake City Police Issue Urgent Silver Alert for Missing 74-Year-Old With Alzheimer’s

The Salt Lake City Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in finding 74-year-old Deborah Ring, who is currently the subject of an active Silver Alert. Ring, a resident at 1320 East 500 South, vanished last week and was last confirmed to be at her home on Thursday, July 10, at 10:22 a.m. Her disappearance was reported by her family on the following day, July 11, at 7:24 p.m. While neighbors reported sighting her on Friday morning, this claim was refuted by surveillance footage, leading investigators to conclude that no one has seen Ms. Ring since Thursday, as reported by the SLCPD.

Ms. Ring’s condition raises additional concerns due to her Alzheimer’s disease and the fact that she requires daily medication for both her Alzheimer’s condition and high blood pressure. Ring is known for her propensity to walk long distances, often covering several miles a day. Approximately two years ago, a similar incident occurred in which she was eventually located near Ruth’s Diner in Emigration Canyon.
