MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. (WNYT) — A 19-year-old man from Albany is accused of trying to rob a Mechanicville gas station.
Police said Werkneh Hayes entered the Lukoil gas station at around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. He demanded cash from the register. Hayes then allegedly tried to take the register. He briefly struggled with the clerk and fled the scene in silver SUV, according to police.
