Man busted for fried chicken and beer theft at Charlotte Walmart accused of biting cop, trying to grab gun during arrest: Docs

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — What began as a shoplifting call at a Charlotte Walmart turned into a violent struggle with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, with the suspect biting an officer and trying to take his weapon, according to Mecklenburg County court documents.

CMPD officers responded to the Walmart at 3240 Wilkinson Blvd before 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, after staff reported a man had walked out with nearly $230 worth of stolen items.
