2 killed in Madera County crashes

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An investigation is underway after two drivers died in a collision after a third driver did not see them crash early Saturday morning, Madera CHP announced.

After 3 a.m. July 17, officers responded to a reported crash on Highway 145, just south of Avenue 11 at Cottonwood Creek.

Investigators reported that a 49-year-old Fresno woman who was not wearing a seatbelt was headed southbound in her red 2016 Jeep Cherokee on Highway 145. At the sametime a 25-year-old North Fork man was traveling in the opposite direction in a white 2017 Subaru Crosstrek…
