(Mills Co) One person was killed and two others were injured in an accident in Mills County Saturday evening.
The Iowa State Patrol says A Chevy SUV (driver unknown) was southbound on Highway 59 when it dropped off onto the right shoulder. The driver overcorrected and began to skid across the roadway where it struck a guardrail and then struck a northbound 2022 Ford Explorer. The Chevy SUV came to rest on the guard rail and became engulfed in flames. The Ford Explorer, driven by 61-year-old Dwight Charles Mayer of Essex, came to rest in the northbound lanes of Highway 59.
