Chicago man faces charges brutal attack of 69-year-old Rockford bus driver

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Chicago man is charged with assaulting a 69-year-old Rockford bus driver.

According to the Rockford Police Department, officers met with the victim on Tuesday, July 8th, around 4:32 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway and S. 5th Street. Police said the driver’s left eye was swollen shut, and the victim was taken to a local hospital.
