SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A recent magazine article looked at the way sitting around a campfire may be a way to boost your mental health.

On this Live Life Well, we’re looking at the concept of getting outdoors to boost your happiness. Dr. Jennifer Baker of Good Dads supports getting a “nature snack” in your life. It can be as simple as planting a garden or exploring one of our many parks.

“There’s also some thought that being in the sunshine helps your mental health,” explained Dr. Baker. “So, it really didn’t surprise me that being outside would also. There is something therapeutic about that. There’s something about realizing that there’s a world bigger than you and your problems.”…
