Former Easton school resource officer sentenced to up to 2 years

EASTON, Pa. – A former Palmer Township police officer and school resource officer at Easton Area High School has been sentenced to nine to 24 months, less two days, in prison, the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.

John Smoke, who previously served as a school resource officer at Easton Area High School, was accused of sending sexually explicit images to an underage student.
