Charlotte city council race heats up as incumbents announce their reelection bids

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — With less than two days left to file, the ballot for local elections in Charlotte is starting to take form.

Mayor Vi Lyles made her fifth run for the top seat on the city council official on Wednesday afternoon. She told reporters she wants to build on the progress the council has already made.
