Freeway pillars in Fresno get colorful makeover thanks to local artists

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A once-overlooked stretch of concrete beneath Highway 180 is now bursting with life and color—thanks to a group of dedicated artists working seven days a week to transform the space into a visual celebration of community strength.

The transformation is part of a statewide effort under Governor Gavin Newsom’s Clean California Initiative, which aims to turn blank infrastructure into vibrant public art that uplifts neighborhoods.
