MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Whitehaven neighborhood residents are fed up with the blight in their neighborhood and want action to be taken.
Karen Collier says she is fed up with looking at the blight in the Lakeview Garden neighborhood of trash, long grass, and broken fences that no one is doing anything about.
The city of Memphis said Collier never called code enforcement, which Karen says is a waste of time, but she is speaking out and demanding change in her neighborhood.
“Our neighborhood is filthy and should have been taken care of,” said Collier. “We have piles and piles of a lot of debris. We have a lot of furniture, it’s been since leaves were raked, you have those bags out there.”
