San Francisco Man Convicted of DUI and Resisting Arrest in SOMA District

San Francisco’s battle against impaired driving continues with the latest conviction of Shaun Huddleston, a 57-year-old man found guilty of driving under the influence in the SOMA district. In a case brought forth by the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, a jury convicted Huddleston for several offenses, including driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding the legal limit of 0.08 percent, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, and for resisting law enforcement officers during his arrest, according to a press release from District Attorney Brooke Jenkins.

During the trial, evidence detailed how on the evening of November 30, 2024, San Francisco Police Department officers noted Huddleston driving recklessly through stop signs and attempting to evade a traffic stop. Running additional stop signs while swerving, Huddleston finally parked his vehicle, became belligerent towards the officers, and attempted to spit on them after being confined to the police car. Having smelled a strong odor of alcohol and verified his suspended license, officers had to obtain a warrant to measure Huddleston’s blood alcohol level, which was later found to be at 0.125 percent, as “I would like to thank the jury for their service on this trial,” said District Attorney Brooke Jenkins stated in the District Attorney’s press release…
