Local and state agencies speak out against FEMA cuts

ROME, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — For months, community leaders have spoken out against the changes being made to FEMA.

“Local governments, the state government, historically, we’ve depended on the federal government to come in some capacity to help out. And without that, with these cuts, and understanding what these cuts mean, what is our vulnerability? And I think we’re trying to digest that right now,” said Syracuse Fire Department Chief Michael Monds last month.
