In a tragic incident on the afternoon of June 16, three unrestrained dogs attacked 82-year-old Ronald Charles Anderson while he worked in his yard on Slay Street near Ten Mile Bridge Road, leaving him fatally wounded. A month later, no criminal charges have been filed against the dogs’ owner, according to court records.
According to the search warrant affidavit obtained by deputies, law enforcement found a torn work glove and a pair of tennis shoes with clear puncture marks on the back porch, alongside fresh canine tracks and a trail of blood leading into Anderson’s home. Investigators seized a brown pit bull terrier, a black Shepherd mix and a white Shepherd–Shiba Inu mix from the neighboring property on June 17, and notified the owner that he had 11 days to comply with state dangerous dog regulations or petition for a hearing in Justice of the Peace Court No. 4; no hearing was ever requested. …
