Health alert issued for ozone in Albuquerque and Bernalillo Co. on Wednesday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — A health alert due to ozone was issued in the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County on Wednesday. The alert went into effect at 2 p.m. and is expected to expire at 8 p.m.

Alerts are typically issued for ozone when levels exceed 70 parts per billion over and eight-hour average, or 120 ppb in an hour. Anyone sensitive to particulate matter, including people with asthma, chronic bronchitis, and other respiratory or heart diseases are encouraged to limit outdoor activity…
