GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Health officials have found West Nile virus in mosquitoes from three different areas in Kent County.
The mosquitoes were collected from three different ZIP codes: 49507 in Grand Rapids, 49544 in Walker and 49525 in Plainfield Township.
Officials announced the findings Thursday morning. They are the county’s first detections of the season, according to the Kent County Health Department.
