New proposal could put license plates on front of every car in Pa.

READING, Pa. – If you’ve driven through New Jersey or New York, you’re used to seeing license plates on both the front and back of cars. Now, state Sen. Katie Muth, who represents parts of Berks, Chester and Montgomery counties, says it’s time for Pennsylvania to do the same.

Muth’s proposal would require a front license plate on all vehicles registered in the state, something supporters say could help catch drivers in hit-and-run crashes, solve crimes and improve toll collection systems.
