Rankin County deputies arrest two teens for shooting in Star

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Rankin County deputies arrested two teenagers in connection to a shooting in Star.

The shooting occurred in the 500 block of Eddie Williams Drive before 9:45 p.m. on July 16.

19-year-old charged in Hattiesburg hit-and-run

Investigator Tyler Burnell, with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office, said deputies found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson where he remains in stable condition.

Burnell said the suspects were identified as Erianna Mashaya Garrett, 18, and Ladarius James Harrison, 17, were the suspects.
