Now you can find the popular cakes at Nothing Bundt Cake Stores in cities like Baton Rouge, Bossier City, and Lafayette in Louisiana. Or Houston, Dallas, Beaumont, and San Antonio in Texas. But for a lot of us of a certain age, we first experienced a Bundt Cake in the late 60s and early 70s. And who do we have to thank?
No, that’s not the guy from Ghostbusters, that’s Poppin’ Fresh, the Pillsbury Doughboy. You see, Bundt Cakes may have been introduced historically in the 1950s, but they didn’t gain traction with mainstream America until some smart home baker decided to enter a recipe for Bundt Cakes in the Pillsbury Bake-Off.
