LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The mounting questions for the Henderson Police Department appeared distant as a packed city hall applauded the new police chief, branded the “Hometown Son.”
During a Tuesday swearing-in ceremony, Reggie Rader took the oath of office with his wife and two children by his side, his parents sitting nearby. The Henderson City Hall ceremony was praised by those in attendance which included LVMPD Undersheriff Andrew Walsh and Sherriff Kevin McMahill.
“I got to tell all my Metro people, I think the blue looks really good,” Rader said pointing to the Henderson uniform. “And I do want to thank the sheriff as he is wearing all blue too in a sign of solidarity. Thank you for that.”
Rader acknowledged Henderson City Council for the support he received during the first phase of the position and expressed gratitude in giving the Green Valley High School graduate a chance at the top cop job…
