Portland’s iconic ‘Big Pink’ building sold for $45M with plans for major revitalization

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — One of downtown Portland’s most iconic buildings, known as “Big Pink,” has been sold to a new owner for $45 million.

Jeff Swickard, the new owner, shared his vision for the city’s largest office space, emphasizing a commitment to revitalizing the area.

“I think Portland is at a crossroads. You know, we as investors want to be part of the comeback. We’re not waiting for someone else to fix it. We’re putting real capital into the heart of Portland, into the revitalization of the city core,” Swickard said.

Swickard described the iconic building as more than a mere structure, calling it “a symbol of Portland.” He said, “Investing in it, because you know we believe in Portland’s future.”…
