New Lehigh Valley eatery to serve breakfast, lunch specialties at former landmark restaurant site

EASTON, Pa. – A building that housed a beloved restaurant for more than 70 years will soon be home to a tasty business once again in Northampton County.

West Side Cafe & Grill, a full-service eatery offering a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes, is expected to open within the next couple of weeks at 1100 Bushkill St. in Easton, co-owner George Kouros said.

The renovated space was the one-time home of Uncle Wesley’s, a popular eatery known for its crab cakes, burgers and fresh-cut fries, which closed in 2010 after 71 years of business.

Blacinas, a cafe and catering company celebrating the rich culinary traditions of the owners’ families and heritage, including the flavors of the Mediterranean and South American coasts and countryside, opened at the Bushkill Street site last year before ceasing cafe operations this past spring.
