JACKSONVILLE, FL — A drug raid in Northwest Jacksonville last May unearthed far more than narcotics. Officers from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO), executing a search warrant on Orlando Avenue, discovered a suspected dogfighting operation complete with injured dogs, fighting equipment, and a nine-foot alligator believed to have been fed animal remains. The raid led to the arrest of 49-year-old Marquis Lamont Williams, who now faces multiple felony charges, including promoting dogfighting and animal cruelty.
