Mobile County man arrested after toddler picks up loaded gun, police say

SEMMES, Ala. (WKRG) — Semmes Police Department officials said a man was arrested after a domestic dispute, which led to a 2-year-old picking up a loaded gun.

According to officials, 24-year-old Dareian Isaiah Sampson was involved in an argument with a woman.

During the argument, officers said the 2-year-old picked up the loaded pistol that was lying on a bed, but Sampson immediately grabbed it from the child.

Officials said there was no physical contact between Sampson and the woman.
