Mobile man fed up with city’s pothole claims process files complaint in court

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — Brian Moore says his wife couldn’t avoid hitting a deep pothole on Dauphin Street near S. Ann Street on January 26th, 2024. It didn’t pop a tire, but Moore says the pothole caused $1,600 in damages to their Chevy Malibu. The pothole has since been patched.

“It tore up the sway bar, bent a rim, and the struts were tore up in the back,” said Moore.

Moore filed a property damage claim with the city on February 13th last year in hopes he’d be reimbursed for the damage, he says, was caused by the condition of the city street…
