Authorities probe missing foster mother’s death, alleged theft by former foster son

(FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego County authorities are investigating the suspicious disappearance and death of a 65-year-old Valley Center woman who was once a prominent family attorney and devoted foster mother.

Nadine Jett, who had been battling pancreatic cancer, has been missing since December 2023. Her family now believes she is dead—and that her estate was stolen by a former foster son.

For the past two days, San Diego County sheriff’s investigators have been searching Jett’s rural property, using heavy equipment to look for human remains. The investigation is being treated as a homicide…
