Trinity Metro On-Demand van rideshare service limited after vehicle recall

Fort Worth’s van rideshare program is operating with limited service after a July 14 disruption that left transit users seeking other rides.

Trinity Metro’s On-Demand service — a low-cost option similar to Uber or Lyft — is being restored after Chrysler issued a national recall for side curtain airbags installed in more than 250,000 2022-2024 models of Voyager and Pacifica vehicles.

“Trinity Metro uses some of these vehicles as part of the Trinity Metro On-Demand fleet, alongside several other minivan models,” said Aaron Guilbeau, director of operations for Via, which contracts with the transit agency for the rideshare service…
